CMP Wassup

This Applet will show you all the Java system properties. This will help you diagnose problems with the CLASSPATH, which JVM vendor and version you are getting, your timezone, etc. Wassup is also available with Java source to download. When you run Wassup as an application it shows you considerably more information. The Java sandbox considers it a security risk to reveal that information to an Applet.

This Applet requires one of the following up-to-date browsers:

	Click the corresponding browser icon to download the latest browser software
	Opera 7.5 with the Java 1.4.2_04 Plug-in
	Mozilla 1.6 with the Java 1.4.2_04 Plug-in
	Netscape 7.1 with the Java 1.4.2_04 Plug-in
	Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0.2800 with the Java 1.4.2_04 Plug-in
	Sun's Java 1.4.2_04 Plug-in add on

If this Applet does not work, check the Java console. You may have very old version of Java or none at all. If it does work, look for the java-version line in the wassup scrolling window to tell you the precise version of Java you are running.

You should be able to run this signed Java Applet that can also be run as an application just by clicking OK to accept the certificate, but if you have trouble, you may have to install my code signing certificate in your cacerts certificate repository. To do this just click install and follow your nose. If that does not work, you can install it manually:

Download my X.509 RSA certificate mindprodcert.cer.
Then import it into you cacerts files with the following commands:
view
The password is changeit.
Restart your browser and try the Wassup Applet again.
You can also modify your policy file to give automatic permission.
Alternatively you can download Wassup and run it as an application.
