Windows ME: Sometimes called Windows-Millenium. Microsoft's successor to Windows 98 designed for home use. It is designed for new hardware only. It has protection for system files and a movie maker. It has improved menus. I found it about half the speed of NT and quite a bit buggier. It does not run Netscape. It has some infuriating features to make it impossible to delete Microsoft's ISP access.
