StrictMath
A replacement for the java.lang.Math class. It guarantees to give precisely the same results on every platform, since it uses strictfp. The regular Math class is permitted to give better than standard accuracy on some platforms. Normally, you use the Math class since it is faster and more accurate. You might think that not using strictfp gives you access to the extended precision guard bits in the Pentium floating point resgisters. It does not. It only gives you access to the extended exponent range in intermediate results. Not checking for strict exponent overflow after every operation speeds up computation.
