SmartSkin: snap-on covers that contain tiny embedded Linux subsystems that add games, music videos, or other content or functions to cellphones. They contain a 16 MB smartcard. The host phone then establishes a serial connection with the SmartSkin. The connection is used to download ringtones, graphics, and Java software that supports the particular theme of the given SmartSkin.
