picon: a Personal Icon that may be a photo or a logo displayed while people are reading your posts or email. The Galahad Internet browser supports picons. The University of Indiana provides a registry for both personal and institutional picons. You can also assign your own picons to other people to classify in whatever way you want. These sound like a frill, but are a serious tool to help in dealing with information overload.
