multicasting: Instead of sending an individual packet over the Internet to each interested party, you send a single packet to a group of listeners. Oddly, RealAudio broadcasting and bulk mail don't make use of this feature. It is not generally supported on the Internet. Multicasting implies UDP, without acks.
