FreeMarker: Freemarker 2.3 is an open-source Java template system that exposes Java servlet variables to HTML, sort of a super SSI. If gives you an HTML expression, IF, CASE, INCLUDE, FUNCTION... The project is now hosted by SourceForge. You might this of it as a simplified JSP. It is fast, simple and the documentation is superb. You markup your HTML with FTL FreeMarker Template Language tags that insert data from a tree-structed data model.
