deleecher
A program that gets rid of programs that start themselves every time you boot. There is a shareware deleecher already written that defangs nine different techniques for autostarting. It also allows you to temporarily disable autostarts without removing them entirely. It is called Startup Manager. Neil Rubenking of PC Magazine wrote a version called Startup Cop that handles four hooking techniques. It works on Win95/98/NT, but does not handle startup services. PC Mag has review of deleechers, which they refer to as Startup & Shutdown Utilities.
