Compuserve: At one point a conferencing system that charged outrageous prices and used unethical tactics to squeeze out the competition. They also cheated customers by putting conditions in the fine print. Today it is primarily a global Internet access provider. As you travel the globe, you can make a local call to access the Internet. iPass offers a primitive mail program that will work given only a web browser. However, you can still usually access your own normal POP3/SMTP email account using Eudora 5.
