Collator: It can be quite a bit of work writing Comparators and Comparables to handle the sorting requirements of various languages. Collators organise that work for you. java.text.RuleBasedCollator lets you roll your own Collator by specifying a set of rules. IBM has also posted code to help that can do things like compare ignoring, case, accents etc. with varying degrees of fuzziness.
