CHRP: Common Hardware Reference Platform. The standards for physical dimensions of boards, power supplies, disk drives etc. It allows standard parts to be interchanged between PCs, unless the vendors, (notably Compaq and Apple) have violated them so they can sell you outrageously-priced proprietary spare parts.
